ABOUT US
Jason Reid is a nationally recognized expert in fire and emergency management, known for advancing best practices in public safety across Canada. In 2019, he founded Safe Buildings with the mission to modernize and streamline building safety and compliance. Jason previously developed and led the Fire, Safety, and Emergency Management Program for the Toronto Eaton Centre and its commercial towers.
His experience includes serving as Platoon Chief and Supervisor at Bombardier Aerospace Toronto, overseeing safety operations for a 24 million-square-foot facility. He has held leadership roles as Chair of the Fire and Emergency Management Committee for Resilient Communities Ontario and the Building Owners and Managers Association of Toronto (BOMA). Jason is also a long-standing board member of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
With over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and security—specializing in community safety, intelligence, and emergency response—Aamer brings a unique blend of operational expertise and technological vision. His passion for technology emerged while serving as an intelligence specialist and emergency responder at major events such as the G8/G20, World Youth Day, and the Caribbean Festival. Certified in computer forensics and digital investigations, he combines deep technical knowledge with real-world problem-solving skills. As Co-founder of Safe Buildings, Aamer leads the company’s technology development and drives its growth strategies, ensuring the platform delivers cutting-edge risk management and code compliance solutions for the property sector.
